Craig and Alti’s Rain Farm Wedding

Alti and Craig chose Rain Farm as there wedding venue.  With both Alti and Craig being doctors with very busy schedules I only got to meet Alti and her mom at our first meeting.  We discussed there day in detail and everything Alti mentioned for her special day I absolutely loved. Alti is very creative and her attention to detail was fantastic.  With Alti’s being a perfectionist, the day was planned to perfection.  Not only did we enjoy sharing in there wedding day but we also had allot of fun during there Trash the Dress Shoot, so not only will they have ‘bush’ photos, ‘beach’, ‘sugar cane’ and broken down building photos.  We had some fun shots with the photo booth which added entertainment to the day.

A few words from the bride:

Thank you again so much Lu and Jules, you were really fantastic and still can’t believe that it was so easy to get Craig into all the photography!! That is really a job very well done 🙂 he actually enjoyed it!!
The Story:  We met in Bloemfontein while I was still studying medicine and he just started specializing in surgery …many years ago!! We’ve been together ever since…and finally decided to get married after almost 10 years. We are so comfortable with each other, enjoy the same hobbies and enjoy spending  time together when we are not working…which is not a lot.

I contacted Noreen from timeless weddings company when I started with all the planning in february 2013 and she was just awesome through out with great ideas and helping to perfect our wedding day. It was the best decision I made as we are both very busy and doesn’t have too much time to drive up and down between Richards bay and Ballito. She went out of her way to find some of the decor, nothing was ever too much for her.

The stationery was made by Denise from d’Amour Stationery in Richards Bay. I added lots of my own creativity to it and she helped to realize all my ideas. She was great and I loved the final product.

My dad passed away almost two years ago and I really wanted something of him on my wedding day that was personal but not something too much to make everyone sad that he couldnt be there….I started searching for ideas and found the bouquet charm and knew I found the perfect  accessory.

Then I also saw the personalised hangers and just had to have it…being a creative person I also made it myself and made a hanger for Craig, my mom, bridesmaids and myself.

Everyone asked before the wedding if we are nervous or scared or stressed and both of us was just so sure and excited that there was not really anything to stress about. And both being doctors we deal with a lot of stress on a daily basis so we are ‘trained’ to keep calm and deal with whatever the situation.

When I got to the venue on Friday most of the decor was already done and I couldn’t believe that everything looked so perfect …just as I imagined and the exact picture(if not better) that I had in my mind of what it should be like, it was really just stunning!! On the day itself I was very excited and couldn’t wait to start our married life together…and the look on my husbands face plus the tears when I walked down the isle will be something I’ll remember forever. We really enjoyed the day so much with all the special people that were there and couldn’t believe that the day was over so quickly. It was really the ‘perfect fairytale wedding’ and perfect day for the beginning of the rest of our lives together.

and as I quoted on the invites as well it really sums it up ‘This day I marry my best friend. The one I laugh with, live for, dream with, Love’

Vicki and Karl’s Collisheen Wedding

Vicki and Karl chose Collisheen Estate – Orchid House as the venue for them to tie the knot.  Our first meeting was via skype to New Zealand. From that moment on were realized this was going to be a seriously different celebration.

A funky bunch, check out Karl’s outfit for the day, if we suggested a pose the response was always yeah. The entire wedding party were fun to work with, even in light of recent rugby matches. This will be a wedding we will remember for years to come, even though we had some rain to deal with on the day, it didn’t stop any of us from capturing fantastic photos.

It was great seeing a couple comfortable with being different with their choices and they had one thing decided before the wedding, it would be great fun and all the guests have agreed, they even calling it ‘the wedding of the century’.
